Here’s how the rental process works:

1. Begin by downloading the app.
2. Visit any Paddle Express location and scan the barcode with the app to access a list of available kayaks, paddle boards, and other items.
3. Upon scanning, the app will display a selection of items available at your chosen location. Each item is assigned a bay number, which you can locate in order to inspect it prior to renting.
4. Select your desired item, agree to the terms and conditions, and choose your method of payment.
5. The app will attempt to connect via Bluetooth to unlock the bay. If connectivity issues arise, positioning your phone closer to the Bluetooth symbol on the machine may resolve the problem.
6. Once the bay door is unlocked, you can retrieve your selected item. The facility allows you to store any personal belongings safely in the bay while you enjoy your rental.
7. The rent details screen offers ongoing updates regarding the duration of your rental. It also provides options to reacquire access for your items, rent additional equipment, or return your current item.
8. If you notice any damage upon retrieving your item that you overlooked earlier, you can initiate the return process through the app. An initial five minutes are free of charge for such occurrences.
9. Relish your beach day! When you are ready to return your rental, simply tap the return button within the app. The bay door will unlock, allowing you to remove any stored items and return your rental equipment.
10. Close the door after returning your item, and you will be prompted to take a photograph of both the secured item inside the bay and its corresponding bay number to complete the process accurately.
11. Thank you for utilizing our rental service! Your receipt will be displayed afterward, permitting you to return any additional rentals or select different items for continued enjoyment.
